How to Use for Compost Tea Brewing:
-
Choose Your Brewer: A large food-grade plastic tote or drum works great.
-
Mount the Blower Safely: Keep the blower elevated and dry, away from splashes.
-
Build a Diffuser Manifold:
-
Use ½" or ¾" PVC pipe to create a loop or grid that fits the bottom of your brew tank.
-
Drill small holes along the pipe to allow for even bubbling.
-
Cap the ends to maintain pressure and airflow.
-
-
Connect the System: Run a flexible hose from the blower outlet to your PVC manifold. Secure with hose clamps.
-
Brew Duration: Aerate your compost tea for 24–48 hours. The high-velocity airflow keeps the brew oxygen-rich and biologically active.
-
Clean Immediately After Use:
-
Disassemble your PVC manifold and tubing right after brewing.
-
Thoroughly rinse and scrub all parts to prevent biofilm buildup.
-
Don’t delay cleaning—dried-on residue can harbor anaerobic microbes and reduce brew quality in future batches.
