High-quality, micronized calcium sulphate. An amendment from our Soil Builder line of products, Gypsum adds essential calcium and sulphur nutrients with low dust for easy blending and precision application at reduced rates. Gypsum helps leach out harmful salts and improves soil structure. Its durable, round prill is made from a superior quality calcium sulphate, a naturally occurring mineral. The micronized form will dissolve rapidly into solution. The application of gypsum can correct aluminum levels through the cationic exchange of Ca for Al. The sulphate supplied by the gypsum reacts with aluminum, allowing it to leach out of the soil through irrigation. Derived from mined gypsum.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Gypsum can be applied at any time of the year, either with fertilizer or independently. The consistent size of the round prill allows for convenient blending and even coverage. Apply directly to the soil or into the seed furrow.
APPLICATION RATES
- Corrective: 1,000 - 2,000 lb/acre (25-50 lbs/1000 sq.ft or 2.5-5 lbs/100 sq.ft.)
- Moderate: 500-1000 lbs/acre (12.5-25 lbs/1000 sq.ft or 1.25-2.5 lbs/100 sq.ft)
- Maintenance: 250-500 lbs/acre (5-12.5 lbs/1000 sq.ft or 0.5-1.25 lbs/100 sq.ft )
